Items to Bring:
WWC Sharks Swim Cap
Goggles
WWC Swimsuit
Sunblock
Hat
Shade for meets for your family. Some families bring canopies to set up for a group.
Highlighter and pen to find your swimmer's races on the heat sheets and write in their new times (if they ask for them after).
Heat sheet. These can be found on the website -- print them the day before.
Cooler with water and sports drinks
Healthy snacks, sandwiches, fruit for your swimmer
Chairs (for swimmer and adults)
Cell phone
Camera
Sharpie to mark swimmer's arm
Other Tips:
Bring an old quilt or "blanket". The kids enjoy sitting together to play. (It can get dirty, so it should be washable).
Train your small child to wear their goggles around their neck like a necklace. Having an extra pair in the swim bag isn't a bad idea either.
Different faces need different goggles so it's a good idea to let your child try them on for comfort before you buy them.
For little girls with long hair, placing hair in a ponytail or braid will help with getting their cap on and off between races.
How to Mark Your Swimmers Arm:
E=Event H=Heat L=Lane S=Stroke
The actual chart will then look like this:
E H L S
2 2 5 200 Medley Relay
18 2 4 50 free
31 3 7 50 back
58 1 2 100 Breast
